SUmMEr MemOriEs

On one of our summer adventures we took a trip to the Potholes near Attica, IN.  It was one of our favorite trips as it had a little adventure for everyone.  We hiked back to the potholes and on the way found creepy crawlies, interesting plants, and Wyatt of course found some mud!  The highlight at the end of the hike was the actual potholes filled with water to play in.  The kids had so much fun rummaging through the gobs of rocks, wading through the water, and of course skipping rocks.

 We enjoyed some beautiful views.
Wyatt had a blast exploring in the water and out.
 Rowynn's favorite place to be!

We found a pool of water that led to many fun discoveries.  The kids enjoyed seeing a mass of tadpoles and we found this "cute" baby snapping turtle amidst the smorgasbord of tadpoles.

We can't wait to make another trip next summer!

Summer is behind us.....

but we made some great memories.  I thought, to ease myself back into blogging, I would post some of my favorite adventures from this past summer.  For my first post I'm sharing our annual Asay Family Reunion.  We enjoyed dress up, nail painting with grandpa, dancing with cousins, slip-n-slide, Sunday morning family photo shoots, crafting, and of course food!

Valentine's Day 2013

This year for Valentine's Day the kids and I had a blast creating cards to send to family.  They thought adding mustaches and glasses to their pictures was great fun.  They were able to choose what style mustache and glasses as well as the colors.  *We also made chocolate dipped pretzels for our friends.  They had great fun sprinkling their pretzels with hearts and lips!  These cuties are so full of love and wanted to share their pretzels with everyone they could think of {gymanstics coaches, the mailman, people at mommy and daddy's school, and the list goes on}.  It's too bad we didn't have another bag to make!  Next year we'll make a bigger batch!

*There were no fingers licked during the making of these pretzels {at least not caught on camera}!
