There's No Place Like Home

Saturday we took Avery and Wyatt out for their first outing that lasted more than an hour. We drove to Indy to attend our nephew's birthday party. They did extremely well and slept or were quiet for the entire ride. The party was fun and it felt good to be out with the family! However, on the way home we ran into a pretty bad storm. We drove through some heavy rain that quickly graced us with some pea-sized hale. We were told it was going to get worse so we back tracked a bit and took shelter in Lebanon - staying in plain sight of the storm at a nearby gas station. It was not long before we saw this beauty and decided we should head west.

It turns out that this cloud formation had a lovely rotation of clouds in the center of it and we were right in its path. It proved to be harmless, but it did give us an excuse to stop and feed both Avery and Wyatt who had started to fuss due to hunger. It was definitely an exciting trip, and it definitely won't stop us from making more in the future!

Avery was excited to be home after driving through all that!

Multiple Blessings

On Sunday, May 31st the twins were blessed. It was a huge occasion as we took up at least three pews in the church with a combination of Morgan's family and mine. Neither Avery, nor Wyatt cried a bit during the blessing. Avery, however, decided to make a stink towards the end of church service - she was just a bit tired from all the commotion and just couldn't shut her pretty little eyes!

We had a wonderful time afterwards as we headed back to our house for food. Wyatt and Avery were spoiled as all 3 month olds should be and we all enjoyed some good eats!

We had to take Avery to the doctor today to see if we couldn't remedy some discomfort she was having and now all is well. I do have updates on weights - Wyatt weighs in at a chunky 11.15 lbs and Avery is now a solid 10.3 lbs. Isn't it amazing how fast they grow and change! Both are smiling and cooing up a storm and they both are great and making mom and dad smile even after the worst dirty diaper or the longest cry!
