5 Months in February!

In February Rowynn hit the five month mark.  I have been taking monthly pictures of her and these are some of my favorites so far.  I so enjoy taking photographs and have been working to better myself in terms of composition, lighting and such.  It helps when you have such an adorable and photogenic subject!  She has since hit six months so I hope to capture her beautiful personality and post more pictures soon.  She has such a sweet and fun loving personality.  She is always smiling and it's clear to see that she absolutely loves life.  She just beams when she sees her brother and sister, but has quite an affection for Avery and luckily Avery has an equal affection for her.  So far she is quite a mama's girl, but thinks her dad is hilarious (now he has three people to laugh at his jokes!).  I call her "sweets" because that's just what she is - sweet as could be and so cute you could just eat her up!

Snow Patches

This year we have had an unseasonably warm winter. Many of our days have been spent playing outside after I’ve gotten home from school. On this particular day Avery and Wyatt found some patches of snow that had somehow missed the suns melting rays over the course of a warm afternoon. They had great fun with these lonely chunks.

Avery also decided we needed to have a photo shoot with her and her baby. Her baby’s name is Baby Abby and she takes her just about everywhere with her. Although at times it seems that Avery is quite the daddy’s girl, she passively shows her affection towards me by doing everything just like me. Rowynn was born and Avery became my clone as far as carrying her baby in her car seat like me (blanket over the top and all), pushing her baby in a stroller, nursing her baby, and even burping her. It is quite flattering to have someone mimic every move you make (and it’s quite stressful always being on your best behavior so your daughter doesn’t pick up any bad habits!)

Christmas in February?

I'm not quite sure if I want to really back track to Christmas, but if I think to the future and how much I will
enjoy looking back at these posts it becomes more of a good idea than a bad one. I think I will get the biggest kick out of remembering how crazy busy and tired Morgan and I have been over the past few months.

Christmas was such a fun time for all of us. We were able to travel to my mom and dads and enjoy the holidays with not only them, but my sister's family as well. My sister is expecting their second, and it was so fun to see her and her cute little baby belly (although she would argue the cute part I'm sure). The kids had great fun seeing and playing with their cousin, Olivia, who is just 6 months younger. We were able to spend time with aunts and uncles as well as great grandma and papa!

One of our days was spent at Hardee's Reindeer ranch just a half hour from my parents house. They have about 8 reindeer and a small Christmas shop, playground, and even some go carts. We were able to go in and feed the reindeer to help plump them up for Santa's trip. Avery was happy to watch the deer from a distance, but Wyatt was all mittens as he fed the deer right from his hand. Papa K one upped everyone by feeding a deer from his mouth!

The rest of our time was spent playing and visiting with family. The kids had a blast decorating gingerbread houses! It has been a Christmas Eve tradition to have dinner and open presents at great grandma and papa's house. The kids had a blast and I know all the adults had even more fun watching the antics of three toddlers running around!

Christmas day we were also able to travel to the Asay's to be a part of the annual Christmas craziness (and I mean craziness in every good sense of the word). Craziness simply comes from the fact that their are 7 siblings, with their wives and not to mention the 19 grandkids. Not all were present, but even half of that is a lot in one house! What fun it is, though when we all get together!
A glimpse of Christmas 2011...

Is this Comet or Donner, mom?
I've hear reindeer slobber tastes like candy canes!

Enjoying the entertainment!

These baby doll beds were Grandma K's when she was little and Avery loved them!

Mommy's favorite, gingerbread houses!
