My Little Ladies

It's not often that  I really "match" my girls, but Avery sure loves to match her sister.  I came across some buried denim dresses in their closets, a couple pink shirts in their dressers and then decided to try my hand at some t-shirt flower bows for their hair.  Guess what happened next?  A photo shoot!!!!  Enjoy my cuties!

Celery Bog Exploration

Recently my parents came over to visit. We decided it was high time to go exploring and so we trapsed around the Celery Bog which is just down the road from our house. The kids had a blast using Papa K's binoculars, checking out local plants and wildlife, and freaking their mom out by touching things just a little too close to the poison ivy. Luckily, all were ivy free and we all had a great time. My dad and I did catch a peak at some bluebirds and an indigo bunting. Most don't know that I'm a closet animal and bird nerd and have visions of bird feeders and bird baths in my back yard with a large picture window to bird watch from. Of course, that will be my retirement hobby in about 20+ years! Only drawback will be Morgan's possible retirement hobby - guns! That will take some creativity on our part, but I think we'll figure it out - and when I say figure it out I mean I'll have my beautiful picture window and Mo will have a membership to the local shooting range.   Here are some snapshots of our day of exploring!
